A new landmark called the Global Sports Tower is planned for the Athletics District within Riyadh's Sports Boulevard project, with a planned height of 130 meters. The tower is not currently operating, and no official opening date has been announced.
the tower will feature an indoor climbing wall rising to 98 meters, along with more than 30 sports facilities. These include a 250-meter running track on the rooftop. The overall development is planned to span approximately 84,000 square meters.
The project's operating partner is OVG Middle East. At this stage, the tower remains a planned attraction rather than a venue open to the public.
Why it matters
If completed as planned, the Global Sports Tower would add a major sports and recreation destination to the capital, supporting Riyadh's growing network of fitness and outdoor amenities. The Sports Boulevard is intended to give residents more space for exercise and active lifestyles.
For now, several key details have not been announced, including the opening date, visitor booking process, climbing fees, entry prices, operating hours, and any validity periods. There is also no current Absher, Muqeem, Qiwa, Najiz, Nafath, Balady, Tawakkalna, or Etimad procedure that applies to visitors for this planned tower.
Saudi Living will share verified updates once official information on opening and access is made available.
