Jeddah Stadiums Ready for Khaleeji 27 Gulf Cup

Two Jeddah stadiums have completed their preparations to host the 27th Arabian Gulf Cup, with organizers confirming readiness by 23 September 2026, the tournament's opening day. King Abdullah Sports City Stadium (Alinma Stadium) and Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports City Stadium will stage the region's premier football competition through 6 October 2026.

The tournament brings together eight national teams competing across 15 matches. The opening fixture pitted host Saudi Arabia against Kuwait at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium on 23 September. Saudi Arabia's group-stage matches are scheduled at the same venue against Kuwait, Oman, and Iraq, while the final is set for 6 October at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium.

Preparations covered a wide range of operational areas, including the pitches, facilities, and supporting services. Organizers also focused on spectator entry and exit, dedicated team and media areas, crowd management, security, safety, and medical services, along with arrangements to ensure smooth spectator movement inside and around the venues.

Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports City Stadium offers a capacity of roughly 27,000 spectators, giving fans in Jeddah multiple options to follow the action across the two venues.
