King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah and the Saudi Sports for All Federation signed a memorandum of understanding on 28 June 2026 to promote physical activity and community sports across the university's campus.
The agreement covers a range of student-focused initiatives, including sports programs, sporting events, running races, and motivational activities, alongside the use of the university's sports facilities. Organizers have set an initial target of at least 500 participants annually in the planned programs and events.
Under the arrangement, King Abdulaziz University will provide sports facilities, halls, logistical access, equipment support, and organizational assistance. The Sports for All Federation will oversee the quality of events, operational preparations, and support services.
Why it matters
The partnership aims to make regular physical activity a more visible part of campus life, encouraging students to take part in organized sports and fitness events. By combining the university's facilities with the federation's experience in community sports, the two sides hope to build a healthier, more active student community.
No participation fees, public registration process, validity period, or specific government-platform procedure has been announced. Likewise, no venues, schedules, or ticket prices for the associated activities have yet been published. Saudi Living will share further details as they become available.
