Saudi Arabia recorded strong growth across its industrial and hospitality sectors in 2025, with the number of producing factories reaching 4,938 and hotels climbing to 2,847,
The total of producing factories marks an 18.9% increase compared with 2024. These facilities are spread across 36 industrial cities nationwide, reflecting a steady expansion of the Kingdom's manufacturing base.
On the tourism side, hotel numbers rose 31.6% year on year. The total number of hotel rooms exceeded 491,000, up 23.4% from the previous year, pointing to rising demand and a growing capacity to receive visitors.
Why it matters
The parallel growth in factories and hotels signals wider economic momentum. More factories mean expanded local production, additional supply chains, and new job opportunities for residents and expats across the Kingdom's industrial cities.
At the same time, the sharp rise in hotels and rooms strengthens the tourism and events sector, supporting seasons, conferences, and family travel in cities such as the Riyadh and Jeddah. For communities, this translates into more employment, more services, and broader options for both work and leisure.
