Foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows into Saudi Arabia reached SAR 159.1 billion in 2025, a rise of 33.5% compared with SAR 119.2 billion in 2024,
The country's total FDI stock climbed to roughly SAR 1.059 trillion by the end of 2025, up 8.3% year on year. Net FDI inflows, meanwhile, came in at SAR 81.4 billion in 2025, slightly higher than the SAR 80 billion recorded a year earlier.
Why it matters
The numbers offer a measurable indicator of growing international interest in the Saudi market. While rising FDI is a positive signal, the official figures alone do not fully establish broader economic attractiveness; they reflect increased foreign investment activity over the year.
For businesses and residents, stronger investment flows can support job creation, new projects, and expanded services across sectors. Foreign investors looking to operate in the Kingdom are reminded that they must register with the وزارة الاستثمار before carrying out investment activities, with the exception of securities investments governed by the Capital Market Law.
Saudi Living will continue to follow developments in the Kingdom's investment landscape and their impact on the local community.
