The Saudi Sports for All Federation has launched a nationwide healthy-lifestyle campaign called the "10 Billion Steps" initiative, inviting residents and visitors across the Kingdom to walk toward a shared collective target of 10 billion steps. The initiative began in July 2026 and runs through December 2026.
Carried under the slogan "Don't Count Your Steps, Let Them Count," the campaign encourages everyday movement rather than focusing on individual numbers. Participants can log their daily steps through the Saudi Sports for All Federation's mobile app, where they can monitor their progress, synchronize compatible devices, and join community challenges.
Steps count no matter where they are taken. Whether at home, at work, in schools and universities, outdoors, or at gyms, each contribution adds to the national total. The approach makes it easy for people of all fitness levels to take part without needing dedicated venues or equipment.
Why it matters
The initiative gives communities in cities such as Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam a simple, shared goal that supports active daily routines and wider public-health aims. By combining individual effort into a single national figure, it turns ordinary walking into a collective achievement.
Participation is free, with no reported fee. No official government procedure is required to join — residents and visitors simply download the app and begin logging their steps during the campaign period.
