Families in the Eastern Province have a new Arabic-language activity to look forward to, as the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) in Dhahran hosts Letter by Letter, an Arabic spelling challenge designed across three difficulty levels. The program runs from 4 September to 20 November 2026.
The challenge takes place at the Ithra Center Library, Level 2, in Gharb Al Dhahran. Sessions are held from 6:00 to 6:30 PM on scheduled dates, including 6, 13, and 20 November 2026. The activity is conducted in Arabic and is aimed at families looking for an engaging and educational experience together.
How to take part
Registration is done through the scheduled event listing on the Ithra app or the official Ithra program page. The entry fee is not listed, so families are encouraged to confirm details through the same channels before attending.
For general planning, Ithra opens Saturday to Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 11:30 PM, Thursday from 9:00 AM to 12:30 AM, and Friday from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM. The center is closed on Sunday. For inquiries, visitors can call 800 122 12 24 or +966 13 816 9799.
The spelling challenge adds to the growing list of family-friendly cultural activities in Dhahran, offering parents and children a chance to sharpen their Arabic skills in a fun, interactive setting while spending time together over several weeks.
