Families in the Eastern Province can introduce their children to one of Saudi Arabia's most distinctive art forms at مركز الملك عبدالعزيز الثقافي العالمي (إثراء). From 28 October to 30 December 2026, the Children's Museum will host hands-on workshops inspired by Qatt Asiri, the traditional geometric wall art of the Asir region.

In each session, children create a macramé piece using bold colors and geometric patterns drawn from the Qatt Asiri heritage. The workshops are designed for children aged 4 to 12, accompanied by their families, and are offered in both Arabic and English.

A typical session runs from 2:00 to 2:45 PM, with additional times listed in the Ithra calendar. The activity takes place at the Children's Museum inside Ithra, located at 8386 Ring Road, Gharb Al Dhahran, Dhahran.

Tickets and Booking

Participation requires a Children's Museum ticket. Children aged 1 to 12 pay 45 ريال سعودي, while adults pay 20 ريال سعودي. Family and Premium members enjoy free entry.

Reservations can be made through the Ithra website or mobile app, and tickets can also be purchased at the box office during operating hours. Sessions may have limited capacity, so advance booking is recommended.

The program offers a creative way for children to connect with Saudi cultural heritage through color, pattern, and craft. This listing is valid only for the scheduled program period from 28 October to 30 December 2026.
