A ten-day exhibition in Jeddah turned the spotlight on the city's architectural heritage, tracing designs and buildings from the 1970s through the 2000s. Titled Built Memories: Where Time Settles, the show ran from 1 to 10 October 2026 at Hafez Gallery in the Al Rawdah district.

Curated by Jeddah Architecture, the exhibition brought together a wide mix of media to tell the story of the city's built environment. Visitors moved through photography, painting, sculpture, film, installations, and detailed architectural models that captured decades of urban change.

Beyond the displays, the program featured talks, panel discussions, and guided tours, offering residents and visitors a closer look at how Jeddah grew and how its buildings shaped daily life across different eras.

For the community, the exhibition served as a reminder of the value of preserving and documenting the recent architectural past — a period often overlooked compared with older historic sites. By highlighting designs from the late twentieth century onward, it encouraged a deeper appreciation of the neighborhoods and structures many residents know well.

The exhibition has now ended, and no admission fee or ongoing public schedule is available. Those interested in Jeddah's architectural story can look out for similar cultural programming in the city in the future.
