Jeddah Marks National Day With Air Shows, Sea Displays

Sep 24, 2026

Jeddah welcomed residents and visitors to a series of free public celebrations along the Red Sea waterfront to mark the 2026 Saudi National Day, featuring air shows, naval displays, and military parades from 18 to 20 September 2026.

At ROSHN Waterfront on the Jeddah Corniche, air shows began daily at 5:00 p.m. opposite the Jeddah Hilton Hotel. Access was open to the public with no admission fee, drawing families to the seafront for the aerial performances.

Along the Red Sea coast, the Royal Saudi Naval Forces staged maritime displays involving several vessels, while the Border Guard presented land and maritime parades that included boats and other equipment at ROSHN Waterfront.

Additional activities at Jeddah Yacht Club & Marina and Jeddah Promenade combined aerial and maritime displays with military marching, landing and assault demonstrations, a national parade, search-and-rescue exercises, and formations of naval vessels and boats.

The celebrations were organized through the Ministry of Defense, the Royal Saudi Naval Forces, the Border Guard, Jeddah Governorate, and Jeddah Municipality. No online booking, ticket, or registration was required to attend the public viewing areas.

Arab Sailing Championship

The maritime theme continued as the Jeddah Sailing Center on the Red Sea coast hosted the 2026 Arab Sailing Championship, starting 23 September 2026. The event brought together around 90 sailors from 13 Arab countries.

The free, accessible nature of the celebrations gave Jeddah's diverse community — both Saudi residents and expats — an easy way to take part in the national festivities and enjoy a rare showcase of the Kingdom's naval and aerial capabilities up close.
