Qiwa Sets Seven Establishment Size Categories

Qiwa has introduced a classification system that sorts Saudi establishments into seven categories based on the number of workers each one employs. The classification relies on the workforce figures recorded in the establishment's Qiwa account.

Under the new structure, establishments fall into the following tiers: Small A for those with five workers or fewer; Small B for 6 to 49 workers; Medium A for 50 to 99 workers; Medium B for 100 to 199 workers; Medium C for 200 to 499 workers; Large for 500 to 2,999 workers; and Mega for establishments with 3,000 workers or more.

How to check your category

Employers can view their current classification directly through their establishment account on Qiwa. Because the category is tied to the recorded workforce, it may change as the number of employees rises or falls.

For businesses across the Kingdom, a clear size-based classification helps bring consistency to how establishments are grouped within labor-market services. Knowing which tier an establishment belongs to can make it easier to understand its standing in the system and to track changes as the workforce grows.

Saudi Living advises establishment owners and HR teams to review their classification through their Qiwa account to confirm the category that currently applies to their business.
