Riyadh is set to gain a new alternative-mobility network after Remat Al-Riyadh signed its first contract to design, implement, operate, and maintain integrated mobility services across the capital. The agreement was signed with International Modern Industries Company.
The first phase covers a network spanning approximately 22 kilometres along Olaya Street and Prince Abdulaziz bin Musaed bin Jalawi Street. Plans call for about 1,000 vehicles, including electric scooters and e-bikes, supported by 22 central parking hubs and designated parking locations across the route.
The network is designed to connect with Riyadh's public transport system, giving residents and visitors a flexible option to complete short trips and reach stations more easily. The operating contract is planned to run for three years.
the base fare was set at SAR 0.40 to unlock a vehicle plus SAR 1.00 excluding VAT, with the fare subject to revision during the contract period.
Why it matters
For daily commuters, the network could ease first- and last-mile travel in one of Riyadh's busiest districts, offering a cleaner, low-cost way to move between destinations and public transport links. At present, there is no confirmed public information on final customer prices, the launch date, operating hours, a booking application, payment methods, or an official customer-service channel.
