Riyadh's Sports Boulevard is set to become one of the capital's largest active-lifestyle destinations, stretching roughly 135 kilometres from Wadi Hanifah in the west of the city to Wadi Al-Sulai in the east. The project will include more than 50 sports facilities spread across nine main zones.

The boulevard is designed around movement and the outdoors. Plans include dedicated routes for walking, running, cycling, and equestrian activities, alongside green spaces, educational gardens, cultural venues, and an entertainment hub. A standout feature is a planned 130-metre sports tower fitted with a climbing wall.

Zones for every kind of activity

Among the named zones are the Athletics Destination, the Entertainment Destination, Sands Sports Park, and Urban Wadi. Sands Sports Park, located in southeastern Riyadh near King Khalid International Airport, is set to offer cycling, BMX, hiking, jogging, equestrian, and pedestrian routes.

Urban Wadi is planned as a mixed-use area combining pedestrian and cycling paths with shops, restaurants, children's play areas, kayaking, sports courts, and picnic spots, giving families a range of options in a single destination.

For Riyadh residents, the project promises more accessible places to exercise, connect with nature, and spend time outdoors across the city. Admission fees, booking details, and operating schedules have not yet been confirmed. Saudi Living will share updates as further information becomes available.
