Riyadh has been selected to host the 8th edition of the World Sport for All Games in 2028, in what will be the first time the event is staged in the Middle East and North Africa region. The Saudi Sports for All Federation will serve as the local host organization.
The week-long event is expected to bring together more than 1,000 participants from over 100 countries, while drawing an estimated 70,000 visitors to the Saudi capital.
The World Sport for All Games focuses on grassroots and recreational sport, promoting physical activity and community participation across a wide range of disciplines rather than elite competition alone. Hosting the 8th edition places Riyadh at the center of a global movement to make sport accessible to people of all ages and abilities.
