Scientific and Medical Equipment House Co. has been awarded a Saudi contract worth SAR 23,690,000, including VAT, to maintain and repair medical devices and equipment at King Fahad Specialist Hospital in Dammam. The project was awarded on 20 October 2026 by the Eastern Health Cluster, part of Health Holding Co.
The contract runs for 12 Gregorian months, with the term beginning on the date the project site is handed over rather than the award date itself. The company expects the financial impact of the project to begin appearing in the fourth quarter of 2026.
At the time the award was announced, the contract had not yet been signed. The company noted that the signing will take place once the required procedures are completed and both parties have received a signed copy. A separate announcement is expected to confirm the signing.
Why it matters
Reliable maintenance of medical devices is a core part of keeping specialist hospitals running safely and efficiently. For patients and families in the Eastern Province, continued upkeep of equipment at King Fahad Specialist Hospital supports uninterrupted care and service quality.
The award also reflects ongoing investment in the Kingdom's healthcare operations through the Eastern Health Cluster, one of the regional clusters operating under Health Holding Co. as part of broader efforts to strengthen public health services across Saudi Arabia.
