Saudi Arabia Eyes Affordable Tickets, Easy Visas for 2034

Oct 22, 2026•2 min read

Saudi Arabia has outlined early commitments ahead of the 2034 FIFA World Cup, pledging to work toward affordable match tickets, robust fan safety, and broader visa access for international visitors. The plans are preparatory, and several key details remain unconfirmed.

On ticketing, the Kingdom has committed to cooperating with FIFA to keep prices affordable. It is important to note that FIFA controls ticket pricing, and no official 2034 World Cup ticket prices or sale dates have been announced yet.

For fan safety, Saudi Arabia has committed to planning alongside national security agencies and in line with FIFA safety standards. No further operational details have been released at this stage.

What visitors should know about visas

No 2034-specific entry visa procedure has been announced. For now, travelers rely on the existing system: citizens of more than 60 countries currently qualify for a Saudi tourist e-visa or a visa on arrival.

The standard tourist e-visa is valid for one year, allows multiple entries, and permits stays of up to 90 days. Applications are submitted through the official Visit Saudi visa portal, while eligible travelers may instead obtain a visa on arrival. Exact fees vary by nationality and route.

While Saudi Arabia previously introduced a dedicated event e-visa for the 2023 FIFA Club World Cup in Jeddah, no equivalent 2034 visa has been confirmed. Likewise, there are no confirmed ticket-holder discounts, ticket quotas, or visa-linked benefits at this time.

For residents and expats planning ahead, the message is one of patience: the groundwork is being laid, but official pricing, sales dates, and any tournament-specific visa arrangements will come later. Travelers should rely only on confirmed information when it is published.
