Saudi Arabia has announced a revised set of electricity, water, and wastewater tariffs that will take effect on January 1, 2027. The new structure covers residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural, charitable, and government customers across the Kingdom.

For households, electricity will be priced at SAR 0.21 000 kWh, and SAR 0.33 The revised electricity structure also introduces a fixed monthly charge based on the capacity of the electricity meter, replacing the previously separate meter-reading, maintenance, and billing charges.

Water and wastewater tiers

Residential water will be charged on a tiered basis: SAR 1 SAR 2 SAR 4 and SAR 6

Wastewater charges follow the same consumption tiers at SAR 0.50, SAR 1, SAR 2, and SAR 3

With the changes set for the start of 2027, residents and businesses have a clear window to review their consumption habits ahead of time. The tiered approach continues to reward lower usage, while the shift to a single fixed meter charge is intended to simplify how fees appear on monthly bills. Saudi Living will share further details on application and billing as they become available.
