Saudi Citizens Can Now Apply for US Global Entry

Saudi citizens are now eligible to apply for the United States Global Entry programme, a membership scheme that allows faster customs and immigration processing at participating US airports. Applications are submitted through the U.S. Trusted Traveler Programs website.

To apply, travellers first create a Trusted Traveler Programs account, complete the Global Entry application, and pay a non-refundable fee of US$120 (approximately SAR 450). The exact amount in Saudi Riyal depends on the card issuer's exchange rate and any charges applied.

Applicants then undergo background checks carried out by both US and Saudi authorities. A final step requires an in-person interview with U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Travellers should bring a valid Saudi passport and photo identification showing their correct residential address to the interview.

The entire process can be managed through the Trusted Traveler mobile application, which allows users to apply, check their application status, schedule interviews, and manage their membership. Once approved, membership is valid for five years, provided members continue to comply with programme rules.

Why it matters

For Saudi travellers who frequently visit the United States, membership offers expedited processing at participating airports, which can significantly cut waiting times at arrivals. Global Entry also provides eligibility for TSA PreCheck, offering faster screening on participating US domestic flights.

Based on the available official programme information, there is no additional Saudi-government fee, Absher step, Muqeem procedure, or Saudi-issued Global Entry card required to apply.
