Saudi Arabia’s national non-oil exports, excluding re-exports, rose 8.5% year on year in August 2026 to reach SAR 18.32 billion, The same measure climbed 17.8% compared with July 2026.

When re-exports are included, non-oil exports came in lower, falling 9.1% year on year to SAR 26.15 billion. The mixed readings highlight ongoing shifts in the Kingdom’s trade mix as it works to diversify income beyond crude under Saudi Vision 2030.

Plastics, rubber, and related products made up the largest share of non-oil exports at 22.6%, rising 7.5% year on year. Chemicals and related products followed with a 20.9% share, underscoring the continued weight of industrial manufacturing in the Kingdom’s export base.

Total merchandise exports, which include oil, fell 11.5% year on year to around SAR 87.24 billion. Petroleum exports dropped 12.5%, and their share of total exports eased slightly from 70.8% to 70.0%.

For residents and businesses, the figures point to steady momentum in the non-oil sector even as overall export values soften. Growth in manufactured goods such as plastics and chemicals signals expanding opportunities for industry, logistics, and jobs across the Kingdom. The August 2026 statistics are preliminary and based on administrative records, so final figures may be revised.
