Air India and Air India Express have extended the suspension of their flights to and from Riyadh and Dammam until 7 November 2026, leaving affected travellers in Saudi Arabia with options to rebook or claim a full refund.
Passengers holding confirmed bookings issued on or before 24 October 2026 qualify for flexible rebooking or a full refund. Travellers with journeys scheduled through 7 November 2026 may be offered one complimentary rebooking to or from another operational Air India station in Saudi Arabia, subject to seat availability.
Any rebooked travel must be completed by 21 November 2026. The airline has confirmed that no Saudi government fee applies to either the rebooking or the refund remedy, meaning affected passengers will not bear additional official charges.
The extended suspension affects two of the Kingdom's busiest travel hubs and comes as a significant update for the large Indian expatriate community in the Eastern Province and the capital, many of whom rely on these routes for family visits and work-related travel. Passengers are advised to review their booking status and act on the rebooking or refund options within the stated deadlines to avoid losing their travel arrangements.
