King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh partially resumed operations from 25 October 2026, running domestic and a limited number of international flights across its terminals. Passengers are urged to confirm their bookings directly with their airline before heading to the airport.
Under the current arrangement, Terminal 1 is handling domestic flights, while Terminal 2 is operating international flights run by Saudi national carriers on a limited, selected basis. Terminal 3 remains closed until further notice.
To ease pressure during the partial operation, some Riyadh-based flights are temporarily operating from Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Qassim. Travellers whose flights are affected should check their updated departure point in advance.
Because schedules and terminal assignments may change, passengers should rely only on confirmed bookings from their airline and avoid travelling to the airport without verifying flight status. This is especially important for connecting passengers and those with international itineraries.
The update matters to Riyadh's large community of residents and expats who depend on the airport for both domestic travel and international trips. Confirming flight details early can help avoid delays, missed connections, and unnecessary trips to the terminal.
