Environment Ministry Rolls Out Digital Beneficiary Services

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has launched a package of digital initiatives aimed at improving services for beneficiaries and strengthening oversight across all 13 regions of the Kingdom. The move includes a new Beneficiary Services Center and several electronic platforms.

The Beneficiary Services Center relies on a unified weekly dashboard that monitors branch performance and achievement indicators, giving the ministry a clearer picture of service delivery nationwide.

Among the new tools is the Liqaa platform, which allows users to request meetings with the minister or vice minister and track their requests electronically from submission through to response. The Beneficiary Voice platform consolidates service ratings and tickets gathered from multiple communication channels into a single system.

Smarter oversight and faster service

On the oversight side, the ministry is shifting toward proactive monitoring built on data, risk analysis, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things technologies, and satellite-image analysis. This is designed to help the ministry anticipate issues rather than simply react to them.

For service timelines, the ministry's electronic services generally provide inquiries and unified contact support immediately, complete transactional services within 7 business days, and respond to emails within 10 business days. Beneficiaries also receive SMS notifications about the status of their requests.

The ministry additionally uses the Tafaul channel for public consultations, while proposed regulations and legal consultations are handled through Istitlaa. For residents and expats who deal with water, agriculture, and environmental services, the upgrades are intended to make requests easier to submit and track.
