Saudi Arabia has confirmed that more than 97% of its public services are now fully digital, with over 4,600 government e-services available to residents, citizens, and businesses in 2026. The milestone spans licensing, payments, taxation, customs, visa processing, business registration, and everyday citizen services.
Most transactions now run through a small set of national platforms. Residents use أبشر for identity, civil-status, traffic, family, and travel services, while sponsors and employers manage residency and dependent matters through مقيم. Labor contracts, Saudization, and work permits are handled on قوى, and justice services such as courts and notarization go through ناجز. Access across these platforms is secured by the national digital identity system نفاذ.
Creating an account and authenticating your identity is free on these platforms; charges apply only to the underlying government service. For expat households, several fee lines that took effect in 2025 remain in force in 2026. The base Iqama renewal fee is SAR 650, with a separate أبشر service fee of SAR 51.75 added to most Iqama-related transactions.
Common fees in 2026
The dependent fee is SAR 400 A single exit/re-entry visa costs SAR 200 for the first 60 days, plus SAR 100 for each additional month, while a multiple exit/re-entry visa is SAR 500 for 90 days. Extending an exit/re-entry carries a service fee of SAR 103.50, and a 10-year driving licence costs SAR 400.
The shift to digital government means most routine paperwork can be completed online without visiting an office, saving time for the millions of residents and businesses across الرياض, جدة, and beyond who rely on these services.
