CEER Sets 21 September 2026 for First EV Reveal

Saudi Arabia’s first domestic electric vehicle manufacturer, CEER, has announced that the world premiere of its first flagship models will take place on 21 September 2026 in the Kingdom. The reveal, aimed at the domestic market, will introduce an electric sedan and an electric SUV in a live-streamed event.

CEER’s chief executive has described 2026 as “the year of CEER,” confirming that the company will unveil its first flagship vehicles in the Kingdom during the year. The two models forming the initial line-up are positioned as flagship offerings for Saudi and regional customers.

Production is anchored at CEER’s dedicated facility in King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC), where the manufacturing complex has been licensed and developed for domestic EV production. Trial production is scheduled for mid-2026, with commercial production planned to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026. First customer deliveries in Saudi Arabia are expected to start before the end of the year.

Why it matters

As the Kingdom’s first national automotive brand, CEER represents a step toward building a domestic electric vehicle industry. The company plans a portfolio of seven models, spanning sedans and SUVs across several segments, to be launched over roughly five years from the start of production, targeting both local buyers and export markets. To prepare for the ramp-up, CEER has signed industrial and supply-chain agreements valued at around SAR 5.5 billion.

Pre-orders for the first cars are expected to open around late 2025 or early 2026, allowing customers to reserve vehicles ahead of launch. As of the latest available information, official retail prices in Saudi Riyals, booking fees, deposit amounts, and payment schedules have not yet been published.
