World-First Formula E Karting Opens in Abha

The Aseer Region now hosts what is described as the world's first Formula E karting experience, which officially opened on 28 September 2026 at the SEVEN Abha entertainment destination. The venue sits near Abha International Airport, between Abha and Khamis Mushait, and offers residents and visitors a new indoor motorsport attraction.

At the heart of the experience is a 428-metre indoor electric track designed around a Formula E theme, combining racing with immersive technology. The fleet includes electric karts for adults and children, along with two-seater karts, making the activity accessible to families and mixed-age groups.

The launch marks the first of four planned locations across the Kingdom. Additional venues are set to follow in the Al Hamra district in Riyadh, as well as in Dammam and Al Kharj, expanding electric karting to more communities in the coming period.

Why it matters

The opening adds a distinctive entertainment option to the Aseer Region, a destination increasingly known for its cool climate and growing tourism appeal. An all-electric, family-friendly attraction supports the region's efforts to broaden its year-round activities for both residents and visitors.

At the time of publishing, operating hours, ticket or session prices in Saudi Riyal, and official booking channels have not been publicly confirmed. Visitors are advised to check for updated details before planning a trip. Saudi Living will share confirmed information as it becomes available.
