The Saudi Sports for All Federation (SFA) is expanding its push to get more residents active, rolling out grassroots and community sports programs designed to encourage physical activity and healthier daily habits across the Kingdom.
The federation runs initiatives spanning schools, universities, workplaces, communities, and digital platforms, alongside research and public-awareness efforts. One of its flagship programs, “Move with Us,” organizes running and cycling events across 13 Saudi cities, giving people of all ages a regular reason to get outdoors and moving.
In July 2026, the SFA launched the “10 Billion Steps” initiative, a nationwide drive to encourage walking and everyday movement. The federation also backs the Public Parks Community Sports Initiative in partnership with the Ministry of Sport and the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs, turning neighborhood parks into accessible fitness spaces.
Community groups and year-round facilities
Through its Community Sports Groups, the SFA connects residents who want to train and take part in fitness activities together, helping newcomers find local partners and build routines. In the Eastern Province, SFA Domes offers a year-round, multisport indoor facility, with a daily pass listed at SAR 25.
Why it matters: these programs make physical activity easier and more affordable for families, expats, and newcomers, supporting the Kingdom's wider goal of raising participation in sport and improving public health. From free park activities to low-cost facility access, the initiatives give communities in Riyadh, Jeddah, the Eastern Province, and beyond practical ways to build healthier lifestyles.
