CyberHero Humanoid Robot Sports League Debuts in Riyadh

A new sporting concept made its debut in the capital: CyberHero, described as the world's first global humanoid robot sports league, launched in Riyadh on 9 September 2026. The opening event was staged at MBC Studio 1 in Boulevard City, Riyadh.

Organizers presented CyberHero as the first league of its kind built around humanoid robots competing in a sporting format. The inaugural season is planned to travel across eight cities around the world, positioning Riyadh as the launch point for the wider international rollout.

Why it matters

Choosing Riyadh to introduce the league adds to the city's growing calendar of entertainment and technology-driven events, giving residents and visitors an early look at a format that blends sport, robotics, and live performance. Hosting the first event at a well-known city venue also keeps it accessible for local audiences.

For families and technology enthusiasts across the Kingdom, the launch offers a fresh type of live experience beyond traditional sports and concerts. As the season expands to additional cities, the debut places the Saudi capital at the front of a concept its organizers hope to grow into a recurring international competition.

Further details on future events, schedules, and how the season will progress across the remaining cities are expected to follow as the league develops.
