Saudi Arabia Expands Humanoid Robot Market via B2B

Saudi Arabia's humanoid-robot market is growing largely through business-to-business deals and government procurement rather than consumer retail, as a newly opened Riyadh showroom puts humanoid machines on display for prospective institutional buyers.

A key step in the trend is a non-binding pre-order framework agreed between QSS and UK-based Humanoid for up to 10,000 robots over five years. The companies point to potential uses across manufacturing, logistics, energy, retail, and public infrastructure, with QSS planning local assembly, customization, and support through a Riyadh Robotics Factory.

What is confirmed and what isn't

Despite the ambitious framework, no large-scale deployment or confirmed production volume has been publicly established. There is also no publicly confirmed purchase price in ريال سعودي, government fee, application procedure, or official process tied to these robots through any government platform.

For now, the clearest pricing comes from the rental market. A Riyadh listing for a Pepper reception robot shows a typical rate of about SAR 5,290 while interactive event-robot rentals in the city range from roughly SAR 2,381 to SAR 4,370 These are private rental prices, not official market fees.

Humanoid models, including AGIBOT, were also exhibited at 2026 technology events in الرياض, including LEAP-related activities, though no confirmed public admission price or continuing schedule is available.

Why it matters: the shift signals that robotics adoption in the Kingdom is being driven by companies and institutions first, with local assembly and support suggesting the market may deepen over time — even as consumer availability and confirmed pricing remain limited for now.
