Airlines Keep Adjusting Saudi Flight Schedules

Several airlines are continuing to adjust their schedules to and from Saudi Arabia as regional disruptions affect air travel across the region. Passengers flying through major Saudi airports are being urged to confirm the status of their flights before heading to the terminal.

الخطوط السعودية (Saudia) said cancellations and rescheduled flights running through 31 October 2026 have been updated in its booking systems. Riyadh’s مطار الملك خالد الدولي has seen the most severe impact, with many flights still cancelled or not operating.

Affected Saudi airports and destinations include الرياض, جدة, الدمام, Abha, Madinah, Tabuk, Yanbu, Jazan, العلا, نيوم and others. Carriers reporting cancellations or suspensions include الخطوط السعودية, Emirates, Etihad Airways, flydubai, Air Arabia, Qatar Airways, the Lufthansa Group, Air France-KLM, IndiGo and Air India.

Etihad cancelled Abu Dhabi–Riyadh flights through 19 October 2026 and affected some Abu Dhabi–Jeddah and Abu Dhabi–Dammam services through 18–19 October 2026. flydubai suspended or cancelled flights to several Saudi destinations, including الرياض, الدمام, Abha, العلا, نيوم, Yanbu and Red Sea International Airport, while some services to جدة, Madinah, Gassim and Tabuk continued.

What travellers should do

With schedules changing frequently, passengers are advised to check the latest status directly through their operating airline’s booking or flight-status system and the relevant Saudi airport before travelling. Those with upcoming trips should allow extra time and keep contact details updated so they receive any rescheduling notifications. No general government fee, compensation amount, visa extension period or universal rebooking rule has been specified.
