Akasa Air has extended the suspension of all its flights to and from Riyadh until 30 November 2026, pushing back the previously announced date of 27 October 2026. The move affects travellers planning trips on the route between India and the Saudi capital.
The carrier has also suspended all flights to and from Jeddah until 10 November 2026, meaning both major Saudi destinations are now off its schedule for extended periods.
Passengers holding affected bookings have two options. They may request a full refund, which will be credited back to the original payment method within seven days, or they can choose free rescheduling at no extra cost.
Travellers who booked directly with the airline can arrange their refund or new travel dates through the airline. Those who made their reservations through travel agents or other travel partners should contact the booking provider directly to process any changes.
Why it matters
The extended suspension is important for residents and expats in Riyadh and Jeddah who rely on direct connections for family visits, business travel, and seasonal trips. With both routes paused well into late 2026, affected passengers are advised to review their bookings early and decide between a refund or rescheduling to avoid last-minute disruption. Those with upcoming travel plans should confirm their flight status before heading to the airport.
