CONTINUUM '26: New Media Art Show in Diriyah

A new media arts exhibition titled CONTINUUM '26 is set to open at Diriyah Art Futures, the new media arts center located on King Faisal Road in the Al Bujairi district of الدرعية, الرياض. The exhibition brings together works by 16 emerging artists from the second cohort of the Emerging New Media Artists Programme, alongside pieces by program mentors Louis‑Philippe Demers and Rick Treweek. Participating artists come from a range of countries, including Saudi Arabia — with names such as Fai Ahmed and Njood Albawardi — as well as Egypt, Kuwait, Yemen, Hong Kong, Uganda, China, the United Kingdom, India, Russia, and Mexico.

Visitors can expect immersive and multimedia installations, light and sound works, moving image, virtual reality, mixed reality, and AI‑generated projects. The exhibition is organized around several thematic strands, including memory as a living process, systems of power and optimization, the body, perception and presence, and repetition, rhythm and collective experience. Mentor contributions include Radiant Bodies, an interactive public installation by Demers, and Ghost Out The Shell, a VR and sculpture work by Treweek.

Alongside the exhibition, a public program of talks, workshops, and masterclasses will explore topics such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and digital photography. Some sessions may be free while others are separately ticketed, with fees announced on official channels.
