The Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Investment have approved the first group of projects under the Hospitality Investment Enablers Program, announced on 19 October 2026. The first batch includes 19 hospitality projects spread across five tourist destinations in the Kingdom.

the projects are expected to activate investments of up to SAR 6.7 billion and create more than 17,000 jobs. Together they will add over 3,000 new hotel rooms, with 40% of them located in coastal destinations.

The program offers a set of investment enablers designed to lower operating costs and strengthen the feasibility of hospitality projects, making it easier for investors to develop and run new ventures across the country.

What it means for the community

The first projects are scheduled to begin operating by the end of 2026, while the remaining projects will open progressively through 2029. For residents and visitors, the expansion points to more accommodation options and a wider range of destinations to explore in the coming years.

The thousands of expected jobs also signal new opportunities in the hospitality sector, one of the fastest-growing areas of the Saudi economy as the Kingdom continues to broaden its tourism offering.
