The Saudi Ministry of Interior inaugurated a series of new medical facilities in Riyadh in October 2026, expanding health services available to personnel and applicants across the security sectors.

On 20 October 2026, the Interior Minister opened a medical center at the Security Complex in eastern Riyadh. The center provides emergency care, general medicine, physical therapy, rehabilitation, a pharmacy, diagnostic services, and treatment services, bringing a broad range of care under one roof.

On the same day, new clinics for the Military Medical Committee were also inaugurated at the Security Complex. These clinics carry out medical examinations and fitness assessments for applicants seeking to join the Saudi security sectors, supported by radiology, laboratories, dentistry, and specialist clinics.

Earlier in the month, on 14 October 2026, the Prince Nayef Center for Medical Excellence and Innovation was inaugurated in Riyadh as part of the Ministry of Interior Medical Cities program. The facility includes inpatient rooms, intensive care, an automated pharmacy, and rehabilitation services, alongside medical-innovation facilities with a focus that includes mental health.

Why it matters

The new facilities reflect a wider push to strengthen healthcare infrastructure in the capital. For personnel, families, and applicants connected to the security sectors, the centers aim to consolidate examination, treatment, and rehabilitation services in modern, dedicated locations in Riyadh.
