The International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation, the trade-finance arm of the Islamic Development Bank Group, has surpassed US$100 billion in cumulative trade-finance approvals since it began operations in 2008. The milestone was reported on 26 October 2026.

The institution, which is headquartered in Jeddah, provides financing to member countries of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation. Its support covers trade across a wide group of nations rather than Saudi Arabia alone.

Reaching the $100 billion mark reflects more than a decade and a half of activity aimed at facilitating cross-border trade among member economies. Trade finance plays a key role in enabling imports and exports by helping businesses manage the cost and risk of international transactions.

For the community in Saudi Arabia, the achievement underlines Jeddah's continuing role as a base for major regional and international financial institutions. It also highlights the Kingdom's position as a hub for trade and development finance that connects markets across member countries.

At this stage, no Saudi-specific fee, application procedure, or government-service change has been announced in connection with the milestone.
