Construction of Jeddah Central Stadium has reached 35% completion as of August 30, 2026, marking steady progress on one of the Kingdom's major sports venues. The stadium is being built within the Jeddah Central development along the Red Sea waterfront in Jeddah.
Designed to seat 45,000 spectators, the stadium will feature a retractable roof as well as cooling systems covering the pitch, the stands, and the surrounding walkways. These features are intended to keep the venue comfortable for fans throughout the year.
The stadium forms part of Saudi Arabia's wider sports infrastructure plans and has been designated as a venue for the 2034 FIFA World Cup, making it a key piece of the country's preparations to host the tournament.
Part of a larger waterfront destination
Jeddah Central Stadium is included in Phase One of the Jeddah Central project, which is planned for completion by the end of 2027. Alongside the stadium, the first phase will deliver an opera house, an oceanarium, a public beach, a pier, parks, a landscaped walkway, and a yacht marina.
For residents of Jeddah, the project promises a new leisure and sports destination on the city's coastline, combining world-class sporting facilities with cultural and recreational attractions in a single waterfront district.
No public ticket prices, operating hours, visitor booking process, or opening date are currently available. The stadium is still under construction and is not yet operating, so no government service is required at this stage.
