Jeddah has completed preparations to host Khaleeji 27, the Gulf football championship set to run in the city from 23 September to 6 October 2026. The tournament brings together eight Gulf national teams competing across 15 matches.
Two venues will host the fixtures: King Abdullah Sports City Stadium and Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports City Stadium. Preparations at both sites cover the playing pitches, stadium facilities, and supporting services, all reported as fully arranged ahead of the event.
Organizers have finalized spectator entry and exit procedures, along with designated areas for teams, delegations, and media representatives. Plans for crowd management, security, safety, medical services, and spectator movement have also been reviewed to ensure a smooth experience across both stadiums.
For residents and football fans in Jeddah, the championship marks a major addition to the city's sporting calendar, drawing supporters from across the Gulf and reinforcing Jeddah's role as a regional hosting hub. Details on ticket prices and official sales channels had not been confirmed at the time of reporting.
