Jeddah Stadiums Ready for 2026 Arabian Gulf Cup

Two stadiums in Jeddah have completed their preparations to host the 27th Arabian Gulf Cup, which runs from 23 September to 6 October 2026. King Abdullah Sports City Stadium (Al-Inma Stadium) and Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports City Stadium are set to stage the tournament's fixtures.

A total of 15 matches are scheduled across the two venues. The opening match brings together Saudi Arabia and Kuwait at 9:00 p.m. Saudi time on 23 September 2026 at Al-Inma Stadium.

Preparations have covered a wide range of areas, including the playing pitches, stadium facilities, and support services. Arrangements have also been made for spectator entry and exit, dedicated team and delegation zones, and media facilities. Organisers have focused on crowd management, security, safety, medical services, and the smooth movement of spectators throughout the venues.

Why it matters

Hosting one of the region's most followed football tournaments places Jeddah in the spotlight for fans across the Gulf. For residents and visitors, the two stadiums offer the chance to attend high-profile regional matches close to home.
