A summer program in Riyadh is offering Saudi students the chance to learn how video games are designed and built. The Next Gen Games Camp, organized by King Salman Science Oasis in partnership with Savvy Games Group, will run from 26 to 30 July 2026 at King Salman Science Oasis on King Abdullah Road in the Al-Raed District.

The camp is open to male and female students aged 10 to 17, with no previous game-design experience required. Participants are divided into two tracks: a Junior Track for ages 10–13 and a Senior Track for ages 14–17. The system assigns each student to the appropriate track automatically during registration.

Sessions run daily from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., totaling 20 instructional hours, with a fee of SAR 1,700. Over the week, students explore game-design fundamentals, creative thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving, and work together to build their own game project. Participants also compete for the Best Game title.

How to register

Registration requires parent or guardian approval along with full attendance, active participation, and teamwork throughout the camp. To sign up, families enter the student's basic information, submit accurate details, select the morning session, and complete the registration.

The program reflects the growing focus on gaming and digital skills among young people in the Kingdom, giving students an early, hands-on introduction to a fast-expanding creative field. For more information, King Salman Science Oasis can be reached at 0114830404 or 0550630404.
