Shoppers across Saudi Arabia now have access to more than one million discounted products in stores and online outlets under the “2026 Sales” campaign, an exceptional sales period that began at the start of August 2026 and runs until the end of October 2026.
The three-month window allows commercial establishments and e-stores nationwide to offer discounts across a wide range of goods. To take part, businesses must obtain a discount license through the electronic sales licensing platform at sales.mc.gov.sa. The service fee is 300 SAR paid electronically, and the license is issued immediately once the application is completed in Arabic through the website.
Because the campaign is classified as an exceptional period, participating stores can offer discounts for the full three months without deducting any days from their annual discount allowance — the same approach applied earlier for the Ramadan 2026 sales season.
How consumers can verify offers
Each discount permit issued during the campaign carries a Unified Electronic Code, or barcode, that shoppers can scan with a mobile phone camera. The scan reveals the type of discount, the discount rate, the duration of the offer, and basic details about the establishment providing it — giving buyers a quick way to confirm that an advertised deal is genuine.
Inspection teams carry out field tours across all regions during the campaign to check compliance with discount regulations in both physical shops and online stores. Seasonal campaigns of this kind typically cover food and consumer goods, electrical and electronic appliances, perfumes and cosmetics, and clothing and fashion items, meaning residents in Riyadh, Jeddah and other cities can expect broad savings across everyday categories through October.
