Travelers in Saudi Arabia continue to face disruptions to international flights. As of 21 October 2026, King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh remains suspended, while King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and King Fahd International Airport in Dammam are operating with delays and cancellations.

Passengers booked on affected routes should reconfirm their flight status directly with the airline before heading to the airport, as updated cancellations and schedule changes are being reflected in booking systems through the end of October 2026.

Rebooking options

Saudia is allowing free rebooking or cancellation for flights to or from Riyadh under its ATC Dynamic Waiver through 31 October 2026. Flights that were disrupted on 9 or 10 October 2026 are being handled separately under the airline's irregular-operations policy.

The continued suspension of the Riyadh airport affects both residents and expats who rely on international connections for work, family travel, and seasonal plans. With schedules changing frequently, checking the latest status before leaving home can help avoid long waits and missed connections at the terminal.

If your travel passes through Jeddah or Dammam, allow extra time and confirm your flight is still departing as planned, since delays and cancellations remain possible at both airports during this period.
