Travellers flying through Riyadh should take note of a new terminal arrangement at King Khalid International Airport. Starting 25 October 2026, Terminal 1 is allocated to domestic flights, while Terminal 2 serves international flights operated by Saudi national carriers.
The national carriers covered by this arrangement are Saudia, Riyadh Air, flynas, and flyadeal. Passengers travelling within the Kingdom on these airlines should now head to Terminal 1, while those flying internationally on the same carriers should use Terminal 2.
The change is designed to organise passenger flow more clearly by separating domestic and international journeys across the two terminals. Knowing the correct terminal in advance can help travellers save time and avoid confusion on the day of departure, especially during busy travel periods.
What travellers should do
Before heading to the airport, passengers are advised to confirm their departure terminal, flight status, and booking details directly with the operating airline. Terminal assignments can depend on the specific flight and carrier, so checking ahead is the surest way to arrive at the right place.
