SAMoCA Launches SAIF 2026 Summer Program in Riyadh

The Saudi Museum of Contemporary Art (SAMoCA) in the JAX District in Al Diriyah, Riyadh, is launching SAIF 2026, a summer program of workshops, film screenings, and youth and family activities. The program runs from 12 July 2026 to 29 August 2026 and is open to the public.

SAIF 2026 offers a wide range of hands-on sessions, including photography walks, creative writing, ceramics, fashion, tailoring and embroidery, papermaking, and mixed-media art. Visitors can also take part in a creative lab for building gaming controllers and musical instruments (Ta'aluf), storytelling labs, and voiceover experiences.

On Thursday evenings, the museum hosts a curated film program featuring regional titles, including the film "It Must Be Heaven," with start times varying by event. Many workshops and family or youth sessions are scheduled on Fridays and Saturdays at around 5:00 pm.

Activities for children, youth, and families

The programming is segmented by age, with dedicated sessions for children under 6 accompanied by their mothers, children under 16, and youth aged 12 to 18 and 15 to 18. This structure allows each group to join workshops suited to their age. The program is run in collaboration with Art of Heritage, Knowliom, and Color Theory.

SAIF 2026 is a ticketed program, with tickets announced as going on sale soon for the July–August 2026 season. Each workshop or screening is a standalone event, and tickets or registrations are valid only for the specific booked session or day. For residents and families in the capital, the program offers an accessible way to spend the summer exploring art, culture, and creativity in one of Riyadh's growing cultural districts.
