Saudi authorities recorded 13,905 violations of residency, labor, and border-security regulations during inspection campaigns carried out across the Kingdom from 15 to 21 October 2026.
The figures included 6,554 residency violations, 3,865 border-security violations, and 3,486 violations of labor regulations. During the same period, authorities arrested 1,881 people attempting to enter the country illegally and 22 people attempting to leave through unauthorized crossings.
In addition, 21 individuals were arrested for transporting, sheltering, employing, or concealing violators. Officials noted that facilitating illegal entry, transporting violators, or providing them with shelter or assistance can lead to penalties of up to 15 years' imprisonment and a fine of up to SAR 1,000,000. Vehicles used to transport violators and properties used to shelter them may also be confiscated.
The weekly figures underline the continued focus on enforcing residency and labor rules, which matters to both residents and employers across the Kingdom. Staying compliant with iqama and work-permit requirements helps individuals and businesses avoid serious legal consequences.
Members of the public can report violations by calling 911 in Riyadh, Makkah, Madinah, and the Eastern Province, or 999 or 996 in other regions of the Kingdom.
