Six leading Saudi banks reported combined net profits of SAR19.83 billion—around $5.29 billion—for the third quarter of 2026, a rise of 5.3% compared with the same period a year earlier,
The six lenders covered were Al Rajhi Bank, Bank AlJazira, Riyad Bank, Arab National Bank, Saudi National Bank, and Alinma Bank. Al Rajhi Bank led the group with a quarterly net profit of SAR7.11 billion, up 11.7% year-on-year, while Saudi National Bank posted SAR6.45 billion, a marginal decline of 0.3%.
For the first nine months of 2026, the six banks together recorded net profits of SAR58.79 billion, an increase of 7.7% over the corresponding period in 2025.
The results point to continued strength across the Kingdom's banking sector, which plays a central role in financing businesses, homes, and large-scale projects. Steady profit growth typically reflects healthy lending activity and solid demand for credit—factors that matter to residents and expats who rely on banks for salaries, transfers, mortgages, and everyday financial services.
A stable and profitable banking sector also supports the wider economy and the ongoing push to diversify under the Kingdom's long-term economic goals, offering confidence to both consumers and investors operating in Saudi Arabia.
