Saudi Arabia's date exports reached approximately SAR 1.938 billion in 2025, reflecting steady growth in one of the Kingdom's most prominent agricultural sectors. The figure marks a 14.3% rise compared with 2024 and a 59.5% increase over 2021.

Saudi dates reached more than 125 countries during the year, underlining the growing global demand for the Kingdom's produce and its expanding footprint in international markets.

Domestic output supported this performance, with date production exceeding 1.9 million tonnes in 2025, drawn from more than 37 million palm trees across the country.

Why it matters

The continued rise in export value points to stronger opportunities for farmers, producers, and businesses tied to the date industry. For residents and the wider community, the sector remains a cornerstone of local agriculture, supporting jobs and reinforcing the Kingdom's position as a leading global source of dates.

The upward trend over recent years reflects ongoing efforts to raise quality, widen distribution, and open new markets, helping Saudi dates reach consumers in more destinations than ever before.
