Saudi Gen Z Blends Sports, Gaming and Live Shows

A new generation of young Saudis is reshaping how sport is followed and enjoyed, blending traditional fandom with gaming, esports, short-form video and live entertainment. Rather than watching matches alone, Gen Z audiences discover highlights, debate results and connect with creator communities across digital platforms and in-person events.

The scale of the shift is clear in gaming: more than four in five Saudi Gen Z consumers identify as video-game fans. Platforms such as YouTube, TikTok and Snapchat have become central to how they find sports highlights, follow commentary and interact socially, turning passive viewing into an ongoing, shared experience.

Big events, flexible prices

The calendar ahead reflects this appetite. The Esports World Cup 2026 is scheduled for 6 July to 23 August 2026 at Boulevard Riyadh City. Reported ticket options range from around SAR 100 for a day pass and SAR 500 for a tournament pass to SAR 750 for a weekly pass, with full-event VIP access starting at about SAR 5,000. Boulevard Riyadh City entry has previously ranged from roughly SAR 25 to SAR 50, though some festival areas may need separate tickets.

For everyday play, Riyadh venues keep costs accessible: High End Esports Arena offers gaming from about SAR 20, Fury Games Center from about SAR 15, and Duel Arena hosts FIFA tournaments with competitive entry reported from around SAR 100.

The live scene extends beyond screens. The Saudi Show Jumping League's 2026/2027 season begins 22–24 October 2026 at Horse Park Equestrian Center in Al Ammariyah, with tickets reportedly from SAR 50. Grand Prix concert access has been bundled with race tickets from about SAR 468, while STORM music-festival tickets have been reported from SAR 119 for a one-day pass and SAR 269 for three days.

For residents and families, the message is that entertainment now spans a wide price range — from affordable gaming sessions to premium event packages — giving the community plenty of ways to take part.
