Saudi Non-Oil Trade Surplus With GCC Dips to SAR 4.6bn

Saudi Arabia recorded a non-oil trade surplus of SAR 4.605 billion with fellow Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states in July 2026, a decline of 5% compared with the same month a year earlier.

Saudi non-oil exports and re-exports to GCC states reached SAR 9.267 billion during the month, while imports from the same countries totaled SAR 4.662 billion. That brought total Saudi-GCC non-oil trade to SAR 13.930 billion.

Where the surplus came from

The United Arab Emirates accounted for the largest share, delivering a surplus of SAR 3.475 billion. Kuwait followed with a surplus of SAR 850.1 million, then Qatar at SAR 262.4 million and Oman at SAR 83.0 million. Bahrain was the only GCC partner to register a deficit for the Kingdom, at SAR 65.7 million.

Non-oil trade figures matter because they reflect the strength of the Kingdom's economy beyond crude exports. Growing exports of manufactured goods, food products and re-exports support local businesses, create jobs and align with efforts to diversify national income.

For residents and business owners in Riyadh, Jeddah and beyond, steady regional trade means continued availability of Gulf-produced goods on store shelves and ongoing opportunities for exporters serving nearby markets. The month-on-month dip is a modest one, and the Kingdom remains a net exporter of non-oil goods across the region.
