Investors and entrepreneurs looking to settle in the Kingdom can apply for Premium Residency through the Premium Residency Center, which manages the programme via its own official online portal. Applications for these tracks are handled directly through that platform and not through other government services.
The programme offers two main direct-pay options. The unlimited (permanent) Premium Residency carries a one-time government fee of SAR 800,000 with indefinite validity and no annual renewal. The limited-duration option costs SAR 100,000 is typically issued for one year, and is renewable for up to five years.
Investor and entrepreneur tracks
For category-based tracks, applicants pay an administrative application and processing fee of SAR 4,000. This fee is separate from any required investment and does not replace the direct-pay permanent or annual fees.
The Business Investor Premium Residency requires a qualifying investment of at least SAR 7,000,000 in a Saudi business, along with the creation of at least 10 jobs within two years. It grants conditional permanent residency, usually converted to permanent once the investment and job-creation conditions are met.
The Entrepreneur Premium Residency comes in two levels. The standard category requires accredited startup funding of at least SAR 400,000, ownership of 20% or more in the venture, and usually a Saudi investment or commercial licence. It is valid for up to five years and is typically renewable or convertible based on business performance. The higher category requires investment or funding of at least SAR 15,000,000 and job-creation targets of around 20 jobs, offering conditional permanent residency once the targets are satisfied.
The programme gives qualifying investors and founders a clearer, long-term path to living and building businesses in the Kingdom, supporting wider efforts to attract capital and talent under Saudi Vision 2030.
