Saudi Team Opens Jeddah Camp for Gulf Cup 27

The Saudi national football team has opened its training camp in Jeddah to prepare for Gulf Cup 27, with players reporting on 17 September 2026 and the first sessions held on 17 and 18 September under head coach Georgios Donis. The camp is being staged at the training pitches of King Abdullah Sports City.

Gulf Cup 27 will take place in Jeddah from 23 September to 6 October 2026. The Saudi team's group-stage matches are set for Al-Inma Stadium at King Abdullah Sports City and Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium.

Donis, whose contract as head coach runs until July 2027, is using the early sessions to sharpen the squad's fitness and tactical preparation ahead of the opening fixtures. The training days at King Abdullah Sports City are closed to the public, with no ticketing or paid access for regular camp sessions.

What fans need to know

For match days, tickets for group-stage games at Al-Inma Stadium and Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium typically start around 70 to 75 SAR, while higher categories are priced above 150 SAR. Tickets are sold through official online ticketing platforms, requiring digital purchase and e-ticket verification at the gates.

Spectators should carry valid ID and follow standard stadium entry regulations and security checks. No additional procedures or fees apply beyond normal ticket purchase and routine security screening. With the tournament hosted at home, the Jeddah camp gives residents and expats across the Kingdom an early sign of the squad's readiness for a competition on familiar ground.
