A new national initiative called the Skills Accelerator has been launched by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, developed in partnership with the Human Capability Development Program, to strengthen the readiness of Saudis working in the private sector.

The initiative targets more than 300,000 Saudi beneficiaries and provides a full pathway for professional growth, including skills assessment, training programs, development routes, and a National Skills Record that documents each participant's capabilities.

more than 590 training programs have already been delivered across over 10 priority sectors, among them tourism, industry, transport, retail, energy and mining, finance, healthcare, and artificial intelligence. This range reflects the wide spread of skills the labour market needs today.

How to take part

Participation runs through the unified national skills platform at skills.qiwa.sa. The usual steps are straightforward: open the Skills Accelerator platform, sign in, complete the skills assessment, review the recommended development pathways, select an available program, and enroll.

For the community, the initiative offers Saudi employees a structured way to measure their current skills, close gaps, and build a verified record that can support their careers in the private sector. It aligns with the wider national drive to raise workforce capabilities and improve employment outcomes across the Kingdom.
